Hardware Questions - SSD Drive, RAM

Does Sophos UTM install properly on and work properly on SSD hard drives?

What has been your Sophos UTM experience with SSD hard drives.

How much RAM is too much (A Waste of Money)?  Example:  Install 8 GB of RAM instead of installing 4 GB of RAM?  The hardware that I am considering is "overkill".  The hardware will support multiple times (at least 10X) the peak bandwidth that is needed.

Does Sophos UTM support ECC RAM?

Thanks in Advance.

  • You'll see zero benefit from the ssd..go with a 5400 rpm hdd....core i3 is severe overkill...go for a pentium and you really dont need anything over 2.0 ghz..

    Thanks.

I had also thinking Dual Core Pentium.  However, when I saw how much all of the new hardware would cost, the Core i3 versus Dual Core Pentium difference was less than 10% of the Total Cost.
