Perfect for home? New Intel Atom coming late 2013

Intel's PR says these new Atom's, built on a 22nm process, will be 3x faster and use 5x less power.  If they support 8Gb of RAM and an SSD, sounds like it might be an excellent choice for a home UTM.

Google or Bing "Intel Atom Silvermont".

    FYIs, AMD is releasing new CPUs right now; the A4-5000's are several times faster than current Atoms and have a TDP of 15watts.

    Yes Kabini does look good. Will be interesting to see if Jetway etc. take it on and put it on some Mini-itx or even NUC size mother boards, the last generation of embedded boards seems to have been dominated by Atom.

    I would still like to see some benchmark comparisons between Kabini and Silvermont, especially as there will supposedly be an Octa-core Avaton coming out, which sounds perfect for an ESXi microserver.

    However if nothing seems forthcoming on Silvermont at Computex (and some suitable Kabini mitx boards are released), I may well be tempted pull the trigger on Kabini.
