Perfect for home? New Intel Atom coming late 2013

Intel's PR says these new Atom's, built on a 22nm process, will be 3x faster and use 5x less power.  If they support 8Gb of RAM and an SSD, sounds like it might be an excellent choice for a home UTM.

Google or Bing "Intel Atom Silvermont".

    In my experience, current Atoms paired with Intel NICs can handle about 50mbps of traffic (through Snort) per CPU Core.
    Web A/V will use a lot of CPU too.

    A 3x improvement would be nice, and might make an Atom usable for a 100mbps+ home connection.

    Note that there are low-power i3 and i5 and Xeon CPUs also, although Atoms tend to be cheaper.

    Supposed to be a new chipset, etc. too, so one can hope.  Hopefully we'll know before too long, but outside of the NUC, this would make sense as the driver for standalone devices.  Intel will be coming out with new Haswell CPU's soon.  They're supposed to be faster and more power conserving as well.  So maybe they will represent a good alternative.

    What's the uplink speed that goes with that 100Mb downlink?  Is that Verizon fiber?
