Swap observation

This is just an observation but after re-imaging my appliances the swap usage has been next to nothing 1-2% the past 24+ hours. Before I re-imaged my boxes the swap would build up pretty quick 40%+ in just 24-48 hours.

It's the same config on the same appliances just restored after the re-image.

    9.006 backports many of the memory-leak fixes that are implemented in 9.100 as well.

    Hallelujah!  I just confirmed that all of my V9 clients are on 9.006-005 and that swap no longer is a problem!

    With regard to the swap issues on 9.006-5, you're having much better results than I am.  These are two screen shots from this morning 5/7 showing swap at 100% for the last several days - and that it remains a problem.

    Note, however, that the swap file somehow cleaned itself out at exactly midnight last night / this morning.  I didn't do it.  What's that all about?

    When you run version at the CLI, when does it say your Up2Dated to 9.006.

    Check your swap files.  Very strange behavior.

    I just checked several of many the Astaro / Sophos UTM's we have in production.  Every single one of the UTM's I checked shows a large drop in the swap file overnight at midnight from May 6 / May 7.  I've never seen that behavior before, and certainly not all at the same time.

    Still investigating, but others might want to check your weekly / monthly swap file graphs under logging / hardware too.
