Purchase appliance for home use

If your looking into a rig for home use, you may be better off building your own rig then buying an appliance. The 110/120 is built around the Intel Atom platform and I've been able to build decent home use rigs for under $350USD. You didn't mention what your internet connection was at home but depending on what speed it is, you may need to look into something around a Core2 or an i3/15. Myself and others can give you pointers on what to build once we know a bit more about your home environment.

As far as the work side, I'd strongly recommend getting your Sophos Partner involved as they can assist in deciding what appliances are best suited for your work environment and can get you access to hardware & licensing for trials. Sophos partners are also the first point of contact for UTM support so having them involved from the begining means they have skin in the game, which usually works out better for all involved.

Hi, I don't know if CDW sells in the UK, but you can at least see (US) pricing for the hardware there.
IMHO, the appliances are very expensive for home use.

I would underline Drew's advice to get the name of a strong partner from Sophos.  A bright, experienced person can make this thing work, but it will save your company lots of time, money and grief if you get an initial design and setup by someone that's intimately familar with the "tool."

I am interested in purchasing an appliance for home use (probably the 100/110 appliance and an access point).  Any UK suppliers interested in selling one?  I will possibly then look at implementing this in a larger company who already use the Sophos Complete Security suite as well as the gateway products.

Thanks for the information.  I haven't ruled out buying an appliance yet but I want to explore the home option a bit more.  I have 20 MBPs down and around 2 MBPS upstream.  I have been looking at the Jetway systems on LinITX.com, but most of those only support up to 2GB.

Any other suggestions for systems?
