I have noticed that the IPS pattern up2date is not properly updating. My asg is currently running 9.006-5 on a core 2 duo with 8gb of ram. I set up2date in a manual mode showing:
Current pattern version: 44486
Latest available pattern version: 44747
Clicking the update patterns now produces the normal message of patterns beginning to download. Log back in a short time later and the same message appears. Live log shows this:

When up2date is left in the every 12 hours mode it never shows the message noted above indicating patterns are available. The log is the same however. Can someone provide a little guidence? Thanks in advance!
