My hardware has two gigabit wired NICs and one wireless NIC, but only the wired ports were detected during install of UTM 9. How would I go about enabling the wireless card?
The device is a tiny fanless MSI box that I've been using for a while as a home firewall with ASG 7.
Now since I'm upgrading to UTM 9 I figured that I would try opening WiFi access by running the Wireless NIC as an additional interface (in a DMZ).
I had assumed that it would be a matter of locating an appropriate kernel module for the wireless card, configuring Linux at the console to load it, and have it show up as eth2 in the web interface.
If it's more complicated than that I probably just live with the box having an unused wifi card...
ESXi doesn't support WiFi NIC's either so he's out of luck on that front. He'd have to run VMware Player or Workstation on top of a linux or windows host so he can bridge the interfaces.
Hyper-V may allow that as well but William knows more then I do about the product.
