I am in doubt about the new setup I planned. I want to virtualize my UTM, so I can run another machine for testing purposes(have to learn how to work on an Ubuntu Machine)
this is the setup I planned:
there's a physical server running Windows Server 2008 R2 and VMware,
then there are 2 virtual machines, my UTM, and Ubuntu.
my UTM is bridged on both NICS on the physical server,
the connection to the webserver is a VMnet,
the traffic from the physical server is router trough the UTM.
the hardware of the physical machine is an AMD dual-core 2,2 GhZ CPU, which will be shared by all 3 machines.
it has 6 GB of RAM(1 GB for Ubuntu, 3 or 4 for the UTM, leaves 2 for Windows),
and a 500 GB Harddisk: 400 for windows, 50/50 for the VM's.
is this gonna work, or is this too slow for the UTM? behind the UTM there are only 4 PC's and 2 cellphones(Wi-fi for browsing), at the moment.
