Automatic Firewall Rules and NAT... yay or nay?

It all depends on the level of control you want. If you aren't looking to get too specific than you can use the automatic firewall rules.

I haven't liked them very much as you can't see them on the main firewall rules listing, but that is changing in 9.1.

I like to use them whenever possible to minimize the number of places I have to look for things.  If I'm having a problem, I'll create logged firewall rules and unselect the auto rules while I'm debugging.  I have a bunch of inactive "test" rules in my list to be able to do this without changing the rule numbers - keeps the logs consistent with the list.  After testing, I re-select the auto rules and deactivate the manually created rules.

Thanks. My biggest concern was they do lot show in the list as already noted. Good to know this will change with 9.1!
