Tried SW app on a Dell server

Hi all.  I just tried an experiment that yielded strange results.  I am running a UTM-425 cluster with 8.309.  We decommissioned a Dell server with two quad core 1.6GHz Xeons, 16GB ram, and 4 146GB 15K drives in a RAID 5 configuration.  Install of 64-bit 8.309 went well, with no issues or problems.  My reseller got me a 1 month unlimited license key, and I imported the configuration from my UTM-425 cluster, applied the license, and all seemed well.  After the config import, I changed nothing.
Tonight, I tried installing the Dell server in place of the UTM-425 as a test, and it went strangely.  At first, the performance and download speed seemed better than the UTM-425's but after about 10-15 minutes, throughput and speed just ground to a halt.  No sites would load, no nothing. Rebooting it yielded the same results: great performance, then nothing.  Any ideas what I should look for to resolve this issue?

    Brian, this sounds like a hardware issue.  What model NIC was in use to connect to the WAN?

    By default, the install made eth0 and eth1 the two ports on the Intel PCI-Express card (don't have the exact model number yet).  After the first round of difficulties, I assigned WAN and Internal to eth2 and eth3, which are the onboard Broadcom NICs, and that did not change the problem.
