Home Connection setup help

Hi,

I've installed  UTM 9 on an old network appliance with 2 network interfaces.  The install went OK, but what I need help with is how to connect it to my home router setup.  I have a D-link 615 (providing LAN & WiFi), which the UTM is connected to a LAN port. I can access the Web Admin Interface OK.  I have connected the outbound port on the UTM to my VirginMedia Superhub running on modem mode.  the UTM gets an external IP, and has the correct DNS servers, but my LAN & WiFi clients can't browse the internet.  What do I need to do on my D-link to get it to route outbound traffic down to the UTM?  The D-Link is running DD-WRT.

    Hi BarryG,

    Checked all the settings and they were all set as specified apart from the optional part of setting up dhcp on the UTM.  Once I'd done that and set the dd-wrt to forward dhcp to the utm it worked a treat [:)] .  Many thanks for your help.

    Any idea how I remove incorrectly defined services from the firewall?

    Hi,
    If you are just using the LAN ports on the WiFi (e.g. no routing or NAT, just switching and WiFi AP), you shouldn't need to do anything other than disable the DHCP service on DDWRT; you shouldn't need any forwarding.

    Any idea how I remove incorrectly defined services from the firewall?


    I'm not certain what you mean, but you can delete any Service Definitions you created. If they are still being used (by a Firewall Rule or NAT or whatever), you will get a warning.
    If that doesn't help, please post an example.
