8.309 firmware up2date package

I recently performed a one touch update to V8 on an ASG220 that was at 7.510.  That seemed to go well. BTW, in case anyone is in that situation: the download was 457 MB, and the update process took about an hour on my network.

Anyway, the V8 now shows 15 up2dates required to bring the appliance up to 8.309.  they all require a reboot. i downloaded the individual 8.309 up2date, but it's only 90 MB.
 
this page lists the fixes included in that individual 8.309 up2date.

I might be wrong, but I feel I would have to download, and install, all the prior up2dates in order to be able to apply the individual 8.309 up2date by itself.

The 14 other up2dates would have to cover more than the 4 bugfixes addressed by 8.309 that are listed on the webpage. 

Maybe the "Update to latest version" option on the Management > Up2date > Overview tab downloads a bundled up2date or installs each up2date and reboots only once.

Can anyone confirm my theories from their own experience?

    The firmware up2dates are NOT cumulative; you have to install each one in sequence.  Normally the "update to latest version" takes care of this for you, but with 15 updates to run... I'd probably just install them in sequence until you get to the next minor version.

    Hi,

    Assuming you have Astaro set to automatically download updates...

    After ALL of the updates from 8.0 to 8.309 have (automatically) downloaded, and are listed in the Up2Date screen in WebAdmin, you COULD press the 'update to latest version' button.

    HOWEVER, my reseller Bruce, and William, recommended upgrading to 8.1 before upgrading to 8.3.

    If you're in a hurry, and don't care about your logs, mailqueue, etc., you could just take a backup and install 8.3x

    The V8 update brought the ASG220 to 8.102.
    Yes, all the up2dates are listed on the Management > Up2date > Overview tab with the install or schedule options.
