Hi Bob, hi Sascha,
i did not contact support, because after next scheduled pppoe reconnect the connection was established. It seems, that the connection has been disconnected by applying the update and the box is still running after this update, because reconnect of pppoe was executed as scheduled.
But why does the software does not recognize immediatley that pppoe is down and why the box does not try to immediately reconnect. I believe only Sophos can give a answer here.
What I learn for myself is:
When in future running a update that do not reboot the box itself, before starting the update i will schedule a reboot of the box maually a short time later than the update runs.
