AC'97 AMR Dial-Up Modem Support?

Does v8 support a dial-up modem as an Interface?

I have a K7S5APro mainboard using the SiS735 chipset. It has a built-in AC'97 codec and provides a AMR (Audio Modem Riser) slot which the modem is connected to.

The modem is enabled in the BIOS but does not show up in the list of Interfaces.

If dial-up modems are supported, where might I look to figure out why my modem isn't being recognized?

Thanks

  • That is what is known as a "soft-modem" (software drivers to make the CPU process some of the signalling, etc. are required) and thus is not supported.
