Simple licensing query

I was just wondering if the UTM is licensed per user or per device?

    Per IP address.
    Every IP that is connecting the UTM is counted, so it's more or less per device.

    • XG: HPE DL20 Gen9 (Core i3-7300, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD) | XG 18.0 (Home License) with: Web Protection, Site-to-Site-VPN (IPSec, RED-Tunnel), Remote Access (SSL, HTML5)
    • UTM: 2 vCPUs, 2GB RAM, 50GB vHDD, 2 vNICs on vServer (KVM) | UTM 9.7 (Home License) with: Email Protection, Webserver Protection, RED-Tunnel (server)

    Be carefull: if you turn on IPv6, IPv6 addresses also are encountered...

    I have to add that ip used by UTM devices are not counted. Some months ago I noticed that APxx ip addresses and interface addresses are not listed. I don't have any info about RED device.
