What licence would I need to purchase to run a custom built UTM? 
a new hardware lic (if so which one) or a software lic

    When installing, you will automatically get a 30-day trial license with all features enabled.

    You can then convert to the 'Essentials license' with limited features, or buy a license from a reseller.

    Home users can get free licenses with almost all features enabled, but with limited protected IP addresses (50 IPs).
