Convert from Esxi 5 to Hyper-V 2012

hello. Is it possible to convert a utm 9 virtual machine from an Esxi 5 host, to a host with Hyper-V 2012? I installed vcenter trial and added the esxi host. I also installed System Center Virtual machine Manager 2012 SP1 (beta, in order to manage the 2012 hyper-v host) and added the vcenter server, esxi, and hyper-v host. the conversion is completed but the vm machine at hyper-v cannot boot completely. has anyone tried this scenario? or perhaps with hyper-v 2008 R2?

Also, if someone can give me instructions of how to uninstall vmware tools.

In both cases the answer is the following process:

1)  Take config-backup from old ESXi VM.
2)  Fresh install from ISO on Hyper-V VM.
3)  Restore config-backup to Hyper-V VM.

I don't like to loose the current system's data (logs etc) that is why i want to convert it nad not just backup/restore the configuration only

Astaro isn't plug and play and won't be able to cope with the virtual hardware changes inherent in a conversion. If you want to save the logs, you can shell in and scp them. They are stored in /var/log.

ok, so astaro can't be coverted. are there some instructions to install / uninstall vmware tools?

The tools are automatically integrated if at install VMware is detected; as far as I know, there is not an uninstall; I will repeat what other posters said above; you need to do a backup of the config (and SCP off the logs if you want them) of the current VM, install a new ISO on the new platform, and import your backup. Any other methodology would likely be unsupported and would be rife with issues.
