astaro in SD-card

Hi,

Just wondering, I am thinking about buying a Dell R610 to install astaro on. There is a SD card slot in it. Would it be possible to install astaro on a SD card, say 64GB and not have any harddisk in it?
Are there any disadvantage installing it on SD card?

Maybe it is possible but not a good choice considering that a normal 40gb PATA HDD is much more quicker for cache and other things

Hi,
Astaro does a lot of writes (for logs, configuration files, caching, scanning, etc.).

Lots of writes will wear out flash memory quickly.
Most SSDs are designed for high writes and have spare cells, but most (all?) flash cards do not.
