VoIP deployment using ASG

Hi,

I'm a newbie to Astaro devices and my company want to deploy it. All of this is a new setup, hope our expert can help me. I can setup the Site-to-Site IPSec base on the manual/guide but I don't know if IP Phone can directly connected to ASG 425 as well as on the RED, all IP Phone will be register to Asterisk on the main office. I attached the topology for more details.

    Hi, I'm not an expert on RED, but if the phone can get an IP via DHCP from the RED, I think it should work.

    Your image is very hard to read, btw... try PNG instead of JPEG, and/or make the text bigger.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply and inputs, attached is the updated file. Since we are newbie to the ASG we don't know if connecting the IP phone on the ASG eth0 will work w/o using a switch between them. If it's possible, can you help me what I need to enable on the ASG. I mean do I need to do NAT, enable SIP please guide me how, I really appreciate your help.

    Remote office:
    CISCO IP phone-->connected to eth0 of ASG 425-->eth1 connected to ISP 

    Head office:
    CISCO IP phone & Asterisk server-->connected to CISCO switch-->connected to eth0 of ASG 425-->eth1 connected to ISP (internet)

    ASG 425 between the 2 offices was connected via Site-to-Site IPSec.

    Note: this is not yet existing, we will build this network including the Asterisk and still on the planning stage but the equipment was already in place & we are just waiting for the internet connection w/c will provide by the ISP.

    Like oldeda said, the IPsec tunnel should be sufficient.  If you need to have all of the IP phones in the same subnet on both sides, then the RED connection would allow you to do that - you only would need to make sure all IPs are unique.

    no nat needed since you are using both ASG using vpn and have same subnets and share same devices
    if you connect the cisco phones from internet like normal outside devices, that will be a long voip story but will work and UTM will do your life easy [:)]
