high memory usage HA cluster

hello

we have 2 sophos utm 220 appliances 
running in HA cluster warm standby
currently we are running 9.002 

2 processes relating to postgres are using respectively - 
27% slon asg_cluster dbname=reporting user=ha_sync
19% slon asg_cluster dbname=hotspot user=ha_sync

we are using 
router ips wireless and vpn 
over time the memory usage increases till it gets to 80-85%  then the boxes start swapping  - up to 40% 

the same thing happened when we were running code 9.001
the reboot / upgrade basically reset the ram to a lower amount then it builds up again over time 

i don't see anyone reporting the same problem so i'm wondering if its a config problem ?

    Hi, Neil, and welcome to the User BB!

    I can't think of any configuration error that might cause that. You should ask your reseller to open a ticket with Support.

    i have had a ticket open for over a week now, after being passed to 2nd line support - i got a response yesterday.
    apparently it is a known issue - memory leak in slon control that was fixed in 9.0003.

    We tried to update last night and now the slave node is stuck on the status
    "up2date"   the pop up status window is blank.
    on the plus side it obviously got as far as killing the rogue processes before hanging.....  will again take this up with support

    2 questions regarding this fix 

    1. can anyone confirm this is actually fixed ? it was not mentioned in known issues, and i don'T believe an extensive list of fixes in 9.003 were published.
    2. why would this need to wait a week and get passed to second line support if it was a known issue ?
