Sync Astaro ASG320 with Sophos UTM 320 HA

Hi all,

i'm new in this BB [:)]

I already have hardware appliance ASG320 since 2010, and try to add new hardware for HA Purpose. 
Can my older hardware sync for HA with newest hardware Appliance (Sophos UTM320) ? If they can sync, of course i choose to newest model (Sophos UTM 320). But my reseller now inform me that they cannot sync and want to give the old model (ASG320). I still request from them about statement from Sophos, but until now, they (Our reseller) still no give me the statement.
Anybody has information about this ?

    That is definitly wrong. I'm using an asg320 and a utm320 in a HA config. You have to be aware, that the new 320 is more powerful if you enable additional features.

    Actually, it may or may not work; if the old 320 is one of the Revisions that is unsupported in V9, you can't do HA with a newer appliance running V9.  However, V8 will still work fine, just as Hallowach said, you have to bear in mind hardware limitations of the older unit.

    If you post the first 6 or 7 characters of the serial number from your old ASG320, I can tell you if it's a supported model (under V9) or not.  Chances are if you bought it in 2010 it still is supported in V9.

    Ok - I have to addmit, that my old asg320 is a rev3 and was bought in 2009 and we are running v8.303 on them in HA mode - that revision is supported with v9. 

    You can verify the v9 compliance on the hardware refresh site MyAstaro Licensing Portal - you can enter the needed data and klick 'verify' without sending the data to Sophos/Astaro.
