UTM 9 Home Edition

Hi,

Trying to do a fresh install onto a notebook but the first screen just hangs.
Cannot press start, can't press ALT-F2 pr ALT-F4.
I've tried running all the options listed in the trouble shooting info on the previous screen without success.

The only message I see just before the "Sophos UTM 9.0" gui apprears is: unable to open rtc device (rtc0).

Is there anything I can do to get past this? or at least get more info somehow?

Hi, if the NOACPI and NOAPIC options didn't help, you're probably out of luck.

What make & model and how old is the notebook?

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the response, was hoping I could get it to work.
Its a notebook I don't use any more, was perfect for this application.
Its an ASUS U50VG, only a couple years old. 4GB Ram, 2.2Ghz Dual core, 160GB HDD.
The keyboard on it stopped working so I had to plug in a Logitech USB one.

I also tried to install the new UTM9 on my ASG120 (rev.4) and got the same error.
Installing it with "classic" mode works w/o any problems until installing the system.

Then it aborts w/ the error that it couldn´t found a specific file/image on the CD-R.
Installing the old Astaro v8.301 worked w/o problems. Later v8 has the same error.

Does anyboday knows how to get rid of this error and installing a fresh UTM 9 on it?
