Not receiving DHCP from modem?

Ive deployed several of these for our clients, but am having issues with my home one.

my astaro box's hard drive started to die on my so I put in a new hard drive and re-installed from CD and restored off of my backup. Since then I am not able to receive an IP from my cable modem. My firewall has 4 NICs so I tried each one without success. I know the cable modem is working because before the HD issue it was working fine, and it give my Linksys E3000 router. I can also access the GUI just fine from any NIC as long as I designate that NIC to internal.

So it rules out the NICs and the modem. Should I just reset the device and reconfigure it manually instead of from the backup file?

I am also running the most current version of Sophos 9.

Thanks

  • Try burning a new CD at 4x or slower and re-installing with that.  Did that help?
