I am currently trying to restore my 9.000 VMware backup into a machine virtualized with ProxMox (KVM). Unfortunately i run into a freezing system caused by VirtIO-NICs. But let me explain it step-by-step:
1. Fresh install UTM9 with 5x VirtIO NICs - Everything is fine, WebAdmin accessible
2. Restore a backup made on VMware-VM with 5x vmxnet3
3. System hangs on 100% CPU. No logon to console possible, no access to WebAdmin possible
- After a reboot the system hangs again approx. 3 seconds after the reboot has finished
- Replacing >2 VirtIO-NICs with Intel E1000 helps, system is accessible
