Installing home licence to ASG120

OK, forgive me for posting this, but need some issues cleared up on how to proceed here.  I have researched installing a home user licence on to an ASG120  on the forums and found:

1) I can turn an existing hardware installation into a software install simply by deleting /etc/asg (NIC order can change).  Correct ?

2) If I want to install a software image, I need to download the software ISO and install after wiping the drive partitions on the ASG120.  Correct?

3) To install software image I need a special VGA cable? (Or follow blind install method?)

4) Will this method work on ASG120 - https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/52/t/27887 ?

    Hi Simon,

    1. yes; I think that will let you upload a non-appliance license, and the LCD will still work

    2. software ISO should install after deleting /etc/asg; otherwise delete the partitions

    3. yes

    4. yes it should, but you still need the VGA cable.
