Manual Up2Date 7.512 => 8.x for isolated fw?

Hey all.  I have a 425a running 7.512 that is isolated.  Neither interface on it can reach the Internet.  Am I able to manually download a package from the FTP site that will upgrade it from 7.512 to 8.001 and then up?  If so, which one do I want?
TIA
Brian

  • The error I get when I try to manually feed it the 8.001 Up2Date package is:

  • Hi, you probably need the 8.000 up2date package, if there is one.

  • You'll pretty much be stuck reinstalling from the v8 ISO then.

  • And afterwards you can apply your V7 backup...
