Restore from ASG 220 to UTM 320

We are upgrading from a 220 to a new 320.
I'm hoping to just restore a backup on the new hardware from the old hardware. Are there any known issues with this?
I understand it will ask for licensing when it reboots after the restore, is that correct?

Thanks!

  • Correct for the first unit.

The second unit requires no preparation whatsoever.  If you've already done something to it, just take it offline, factory reset and power down.  Then:
Cable to internal and external networks exactly as first unit
add crossover cable to both uints on sync port
    Power on

    Cheers - Bob

  • In some cases a factory reset does not restore the "original trial license". So the HA feature is not licensed and the second unit will not join.
Maybe you need to install a license or do a clean iso install in this case.
