Innstalation fresh asl 8.8 cant find sata hd?

Hello..im trying to install a fresh copy of 8.3 on a new computer. i have installed several over the years but this one cant find any HD.
it is displyed in bios and i have tried several sata drives...no one is discovered. i have changed cabels and drives all the same.

Tried to connect a usb maxtor drive and it find ity easy...but none sata drives..??  is it the sata connectors astaro 8 does not support??
the mainboard is a asus p8b75-m

anyone know what i should try??

    Thx for answer.

    1.Im not using the 3 or 6 gbs port on the mainbord. just one of the regular 4
    2.i have tried ide and ahci mode in bios...no luck
    3.i have not yet tried 9 beta....this is an installation that i hoped would work for some time and i dont want to install a fresh copy again when beta goes public.  but i can see if 9 does recognice the port or drive..

    i dont know if other linux see the drive...i only have asg..

    i will try 9 beta...

    i think the problem is the mainboard is to new and also the sata ports.so there is no support for it..

    i have the mainboard drivers for the sata ports...does this help me??
