http Proxy gone down after upgrade to 8.303

I also have problems after the upgrade form 8.302 to 8.303.

My network behind the Astaro Appliance cannot connect to the Internet anymore. Except when I change the InternetExplorer/FireFox setting to not use Proxy settings. 
Before the upgrade all systems (laptops/desktops/servers) could connect to without any problems. (Only 1 desktop had problems with FireFox proxy settings in combination with Facebook.com (constantly asking for network username and password)).

I checked many settings in the Astaro. Changed the WebFiltering Authantication mode form "None" to "Active Directory SSO" with 2 AD groups. But nothing works. 
I found out, that the problems lie in the http-proxy settings, because the Exange server behind tha Astaro has no problems on the port 25. While the port 8080 is blocked.

    How big is the risk, that a new VM with a recent onfig backup, would give the same problems after re_installation?

    I have another server at home that could be installed as a vm server or as a direct software install for testing. (after memory upgrade to 4GB)
    And I could re-install a new VM Appliance on the same server. 

    I could do with a good advice.

     i try to add astaro to my 2008R2 domain but now it doesn't work 

    Ensure that you delete the Astaro computer object in AD before trying to re-join the domain.


    And or try another user than the Administrator account. [8-)]
    I could not re-join my Astaro in my AD using the admin account. I used my "personal" admin-account.

    i have done this without success
    and i have delet the AD object before try to join AD domain.
    i'm not alone having this problem since upgrade 8.302 to 8.303

    i have try in commande line with net join ads 
    this is the logs

    mail:/usr/sbin # net join ads -U administrateur -S 172.20.225.116

    and when the command is finish the astaro are created in AD but it doesn't work 
    and in webadmin it says not join in a domain.

    there was many hours i try fix this without successful.

    I have the same problem. Upgraded from 8.303 to 8.304 on my ASG320. Reboots, rollbacks, and rejoins are not fixing it. I am sadface.

    Checked the usual requirements for AD SSO to work?:

    - The time zone on the gateway and the domain controller (DC) must be the same.
    - There MUST NOT be a time difference of more than five minutes between the gateway clock and the DC clock.
    - The UTM hostname's suffix must be the internal domain suffix e.g. hostname is asg.domain.local.
    - The UTM must use the AD DNS as forwarder or must have a DNS request route for the AD domain e.g. domain.local which points to the AD DNS server.

    Marco, I agree with the rest of your list, but, in my experience, the following has not been necessary:
    - The UTM hostname's suffix must be the internal domain suffix e.g. hostname is asg.domain.local.

    For example, several clients have hostnames like mail.domain.com with internal domains like domain.local.  All work fine with AD-SSO.

    In fact, for an Astaro that has a public IP on the External interface, using a hostname that is an FQDN resolvable in public DNS makes it simpler to configure Mail Security, VPNs and REDs.

    i Agree with balfson , 
    cause i have an FQDN public dns on astaro wan , and have another FQDN public name for my private domain ,i have enter an static dns on astaro for my private domain ( in real public).
    i never have probleme before with this.
    i'm sorry for my poor english i'm french.


    i have send logs , and info to my first level support and wait for reply.

    this is the first time i encounter problème wich i can't resolve myself on astaro.
    beta tester from V3.

    i think this is due to new smb package.
    and winbind are not correctly working.

    I just wanted to give you possible solution to solve the problem. By my experience in 9 of 10 cases the changing of the hostname to one with local domain suffix at management > system setting > hostname immediately solved issues with joining the domain and authenticating with ad sso. 

    SMTP proxy, vpn, red, ssl-vpn, dyndns ... won't be affacted of this change because they all use extra settings for the hostname. Just use the public hostname at basic setup and change it later.

    That is the real problem which caused troubles in Astro after the 8.303 upgrade. [;)]

    I am going to re-install the firewall this week. Hopefully that is a sollution. [8-)]

    Problème Solved.
    have juste delet static entries dns of my internal domain
    and use request routing dns .
    after i rejoin domain without problème.
    formerly it was working by pointing the AD server using static dns of Astaro, now you must use request routing instead.
    fill in the domain and then add the domain controller object on astaro.
