Extremely slow ping and slower speed through Astaro

You're using BT fibre ? Perhaps your issue is somehow related with that here:

On a corei5 or i7 it should perform as fast as hell.

It's unrelated to this I'm afraid as the connection goes directly to Astaro from the White Openrach modem. I believe this affects people who use the BT HomeHub.

I'm having this same problem too.  I recently installed Astaro v9.018 to a brand new physical box.  The box is running an Intel G530 celeron dual core, with 4gigs  ram, 250 GB harddrive.  It has three intel gigabit NICs, one single port and one dual port.  The box runs smoothly through all menus, with memory staying around 25% and CPU never above 10%.  However after running for about 3-4 hours (after a reboot) the network performance goes to hell.  Ping times to 8.8.8.8 go from an average of 12ms to an average of 150ms.  The only remedy is to reboot the Astaro box.  I've tried everything I can think of.  Disabling all modules (running barebones FW), reinstalling to 32bit kernel, trying different NICs, but nothing I've tried works.  If I put pfSense on this same machine it runs flawlessly.  I need help otherwise my wife is going to force me to trash the astaro box and go back to pfSense since it's stable [:(].

To add to the mystery, I've started pinging the internal interface on the astaro box which when things are performing well it pings at  50ms!  50ms on a local lan!  I again tried swapping NICs on the internal port and each NIC exhibits the same results...  very frustrating.  Anyone have any suggestions??
