Extremely slow ping and slower speed through Astaro

Can someone please help me with this, I have noticed that I seem to get extremely slow ping results when pinging though the Astaro. I tend to get 367ms through the Astaro and around 47ms without going through it. Any ideas why this is happening ?

The download speed seems to be slower as well through the Astaro.

Any help appreciated.

    you are going to take a speed hit with anything routed through the proxy due to the scanning involved.  if you are using ips you'll take a further hit.  if turning off the http proxy and ips doesn't restore performance then you have a config/hardware issue.

    I was just wanted to know what could have been causing this, in my old work place we implemented an Astaro however ping/speed was unaffected by the Proxy and IPS.

    Might have to get in contact with my old manager
