i suppose anything is possible but the appliances except for 110 have no ip limits on them. if you have a different license key or backup it should work(with the appropriate warning about nic reodering at hand).

Well, my reseller says that it is not possible... I ask myself why.

It is encoded into the licenses what type of Install that they will work with....Hardware and model, software, or virtual.
Ok, but if I install software version from iso, the installation process (or validation process of license) will recognize that I am installing into an Astaro appliance? And in that case, I can use the license of software version anyway?
if you install the sftware iso onto the asg hardware then yes you can use your software license..but the hardware doesn't have astaro support if you do that IIRC. If hte hardware is out of warranty then that point is moot.

Ok, thanks. I remember that when I bought my 220 I had to buy also at least 1 year subscription for hardware appliance. So, if I buy a new 320, do you think I will be forced to buy also a 1 year subscription for hardware apliance (for 320)?

Guys, I have made a test with v9 using an old 220 rev.3 unit. The installation process of software version ends with an error. It says that I cannot install software version in a hardware appliance. It is obviously a commercial limitation imposed by sophos [:(]
