NIC ordering and new/rebuilds

I recently installed v8.900b, but this time I didn't edit the NIC order when restoring the backup. I have a dual port Intel NIC and the onboard NIC.

Is there anyway I can change this order so it sticks from build to build?

part of the issue is how the kernel enumerates pci(e) devices upon boot. Different kernel versions can sometimes enumerate things differently. There maybe a script for this that can be generated...but even redhart had this issue between rhel 5 and 6.
