Minimal hardware recommendations for SSLVPN?

Greetings,

I would just like to run the SSLVPN appliance, or maybe the free home use appliance on a D945GSEJT with an additional Intel Pro 100 Dual PCI card. 2 gigs of ram are availabe, as well as a small hard disk.

do you think this is sufficient for that?

also, would it be possible to run the SSLVPN part alone on a ALIX-Board (single-homed)? 
what´s the minimal hard disk size for the smallest possible installation?

    You can run Web Security and Mail Security with a single NIC, but Network Security (including VPNs) requires a second NIC, at least.  V8 won't install on a disk less than 10GB.

    Is that the dual-processor Atom?  I bet you would find that the single-processor Atom might be underpowered for a home with several power users, but you could search here for what others are doing.  I know that William has an installation with an Atom 330 and 2GB that supports ten light users, and he tends to be fairly demanding about performance.

    hehe yes i am..[[:)]]  I want to make sure it is going to work with room left over so i horridly beatdown any config i'm going to deploy..[[:)]]  See my sig for my configs.  I would NOT use a single core atom for anything that requires lots of math..and vpn is nothing but math.  That one core is going to be hammered just trying to run the system.  go with a 3xx series at least..but if you can get a 525 or higher9dual core with HT) that's your best bet in the low power category.
