What is the difference between the asg-8.300-esx-v4.zip and the asg-8.300-vmware.zip Virtual Appliance?

esx is an OVF-Template, vmware is a vmx file. It would be great if this could be documented somewhere.

The Readme in the same download folder (ReadMe) contains the info you want. The ESX file is for use on VMware's ESX(i) datacenter platform (ESX(i) 4 & 5), and the vmware version is for use on their "Desktop" (Player,Server,Workstation) product line.
