anyone with input 8.203 or 8.300 best choice ?

Will tonight do some updates and fixes with a HA setup with 2 320's.
Using AD as backend and have users complaining about the proxy performance of the current 8.202.

For those who know......8.300 an improvement och safe bet to go with 8.203?

Been reading/searching these forums and can't make out what seems to be the best. Some say that 8.2 is the worst and therefor either 8.1 or 8.3 would be better....

    usage is proxy and vpns mostly.
  • Btw, been trying the;
    1) enable SSH for both loginuser && root in the Management > System Settings > Shell Access
    2) ssh to ASG and login with loginuser
    3) su root
    4) cc set http sc_local_db mem
    5) /var/mdw/scripts/httpproxy restart
    6) wait until it complete downloading ~300Mb (for me it downloaded at 8Mbps).

    But mine still reports 0 when checking the size for the DL.
    nothing seems to come down.
  • ouchies..200 on two 320's?  8.3 helped a bit..every little bit helps.  I would also activate support on this one.  if you have plat call Astaro if standard talk to your reseller/partner.

  • with 200 users on a 320 i would not recommend mem based local database in the first place.

  • Thanks again,

    Why should the local DB be a worse choice if having 200 users ?
    Either if I use disk or mem, it should be faster anyway since the boxes aren having any high loads otherwise.....
