Update v8.1 to 8.3 skipping v8.2

Hi folks,

can I scheduled update to V8.3 while skipping the v8.2 Up2Dates?

    All intermediate Up2Dates must be applied.  When you select installation of 8.300, the other Up2Dates will be applied automatically in order before 8.300 is applied.  William has been recommending that 8.20x Up2Dates be applied separately, but I haven't seen the same issues - ymmv!

    No, all updates have to be applied in series. The 'Update to latest version now' button takes care of that, though.

    This is from the manual.
    A note on "implicit" installations: There can be a constellation, where you schedule an Up2Date package which requires an older Up2Date package to be installed first. This Up2Date package will be automatically scheduled for installation before the actual Up2Date package. However, you can define a specific time for this package, too, but you cannot prevent its installation.

    I'll try the scheduled update to v8.3 at weekend and afterwards I'll report what happened.

    Scheduled updates within v8.1 had no issues at all (to my installations)

    The scheduled update to v8.3 has been successfully deployed:


    • New Firmware Up2Dates have been installed. The current firmware version is now 8.200.
    • New Firmware Up2Dates have been installed. The current firmware version is now 8.201.
    • New Firmware Up2Dates have been installed. The current firmware version is now 8.202.
    • New Firmware Up2Dates have been installed. The current firmware version is now 8.203.
    • New Firmware Up2Dates have been installed. The current firmware version is now 8.300.


    After the last update I noticed that the firewall had started droping packets on port 80. I installed a v8.1 backup file and then it worked fine!

    Thanks for your feedback, I think there is a glitch somewhere in that process that doesn't happen to many people.  I had a similar experience with our demo unit.
