You've got a bad CDROM Drive, or are getting errors when you burn your CD.  Try burning with a different CD ROM Burner, try setting it to a slower speed when burning, etc.

BTW, Astaro appears to be detecting the installed NICs OK.

I have 3 nics inside my box, netgear FA312, Realtek RTL-8139 & the onboard nvidia mcp61

the netgear is realtek.  the mcp61 form nvidia might be the source of your problems.  disable that one in the bios and see what happens along with the other bios tweaks i posted.

Thank you all for your responses, BrucekConvergent was dead on, it was my disc. I burned it to a different disc and it installed with no problems..

yeah a bad disc will do it as well..[:)]  I would still try the bios tweaks i mentioned..it reduces unneeded drivers and ram usage(with the exception of turning off the mcp nic).

Do have to second William's caution regarding using the nVidia NIC... Don't expect that nic to work well...or at all.  If it does, so much the better.  Have fun!
