Possible to use an ASG320 License on a new Server?

Hello Folks,

currently we have an ASG320 Appliance which is running out of performance. I am looking for new options. But besides that I have a replacement idea question:

Would it be possible to set up an own server hardware, to install the ASG software on it and register it with our current license for the ASG320?

Thank you in advance!
Uwe

  • No... you cannot use an ASG Hardware Appliance license on a custom hardware or virtualized install.  Contact your reseller, some times special deals can be worked out to discount the cost of such a migration -- I've been able to do that for some of my customers before, but it involves getting a channel rep involved.

  • I just went through quoting this out for us and for 500 users it was going to be about $6500 for Network and Web Security. This is with about $1000 credit for our existing 220 license. Over $11K for 1000 users.
