Hyper V with One NIC

Is there a virtual appliance in the works that will work with Hyper V with ONE Nic card?

I have 5 OS sharing One nic card with TCP offload disabled for faster speeds but can't seem to get software to work w/o two nic cards. Is there a work around or SOL?

    Well astaro needs at last 2 NIC. A solution for you would be to create 2 shared virtuall NIC in the hyper-v network settings and assign these two to the real physical one. Then assign the to virtuall NIC to the astaro VM, this should do the trick.

    But I think the performance will not be quiet good when 6 VM share the same physical connection.

    I think it would be better to put 2 extra NICs in the server only for the astaro VM.

    Somehow Astaro managed to create an Amazon EC2 AMI. That means it's running on 1 NIC. Some obvious functionality would be missing, but seems like the software should handle it. Ver 8.3. Maybe issue with installer limitations.

    so if I just add another nic card in Hyper V.... I won't need another Ethernet cable, Just one cable. Assign Astaro the new Virtual Nic of the new physical nic? I will try this but the nic is built in my precision. Must buy another.

    I don't use the VM (Win 8 Develop) at all for internet. I RDC into them to check on my running programs doing math calculations. Its all testing not production. I won't ever use hyper v in production she hangs sometimes.

    Exactly. As I said, create 2 virtual NICs in the Hyper-V network settings of the same physical one. So you still have one real physical NIC and one cable. Then assign the two virtuall NICs to the astaro VM.

    Besides Hyper-V runs smooth, it never hangs for me and I for this setup a few times in a productiv enviroment.

    Or you can just create one virtual NIC and assign this one to the VM two times, should also work...
