Adding a 3rd NIC

Can I simply add a 3rd nic to my existing setup, or will it require a re-install of ASG?

If it require a re-install, will I be able to restore my current config which is on a 2 NIC system?

Hi,
you will require a rebuild and yes, you can restore you two nic config. The only thing to watch out for is the NIC order is likely to have changed.

If the nic ordering changes, you can ssh and change the ordering from the command line. See this post:

The only reason for a re-install would be if you don't use a new NIC identical to one of the other two. Astaro OS is not plug-n-play - at installation, it only loads the drivers necessary for the equipment it sees.
