RE: Astaro Security Gateway – Free Home Use Firewall
Hi there. I am interested in using the ASG at home to replace my Sonicwall SOHO2 firewall. I was wondering if the ASG will work in a Dell Latitude 2100 netbook with a USB Ethernet adapter (like a D-Link DUB-E100) in order to have 2 Ethernet ports.
I searched this forum and only saw one example of using a Netbook (Toshiba model, I believe) but no USB Ethernet adapter usage. The 2100 can run Linux, so at least I believe the ASG will run in the netbook.
The ASG will also need to support two site-to-site VPNs to connect to Sonicwall TZ150s at my relatives' residences. My SOHO2 currently provides VPN support with the firewall features.
So, do you think it will work? Thanks in advanced.
