ASG 625 Home Use Question

I just acquired a used ASG 625, and intend to re-deploy it for my home setup.
I know it is way overkill, but it was at too good a price to pass up [;)] .

My question is am I better off putting ESXi on it then the Software ASL, or just re-format the disks and putting Software ASL with home license.
Realizing in both cases I lose the LCD display - will the Software ASL recognize the RAID controller ?

Any other suggestions ?
I have read the postings on how to get the LCD working, and will try that.

One other question - can someone give me a pointer as to how the ports are set up - Is there only one internal switch , or several switches. i.e Should I see eth0 & eth1 or more ?

ooops. That must have been a good price...

No switch built-in, you should find 18 eth interfaces. Will give a nice ESXi server ;o)

Assuming I want some of the interfaces to act as if they were a switch - best way is to simply bridge them ??  Do i also need a rule to forward the traffic when bridged.
(I currently run my box in NAT mode so not so familiar with bridged mode).

Can I bridge them in ESXi  ?

better buy a cheap switch instead of bridging. Tried it once on ESXi, but got strange issues, the vswitches seems not to like bridges...
