Upgrading to V8

Can I upgrade to version 8 if the appliance isnt connected to the internet. (just download V8 from the FTP site)

Remeber that you can void your warranty by doing things at the command line.

At the console, as root,
cd /var/up2date/sys
ls

That will give you the name of the file you need to delete, probably u2d-sys-7.511.tgz.gpg, and then remove it:
rm u2d-sys-7.511.tgz.gpg

You might see something else with the same name but with a 1 appended; I'd delete that, too.

Remember, this is at your own risk!
