Home-use version for Astaro hardware

I am using an ASG110 at home, and I'm considering an update to run the home-use version because of the more-expansive licensing it affords. I've seen the threads indicating how I get the home-use ISO to load onto the device, so I know I can manage that much.
My bigger concern is whether or not my existing configuration backup will be compatible with the home-use software.
In the 2+ years that I've had the device, I've done some extensive configuration of things (remote access, NAT rules are good examples) that I really don't want to have to rebuild by hand.
Anyone else been successful with such a conversion? Or am I stuck with either the hardware license limits or the requirement to manually rebuild the config after a conversion?

    Yes, the config backup will work just fine on a software install box.  You don't even need to reinstall using another ISO.  https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/52/p/27944/84934#84934


    This method works exactly as advertised; my ASG110 is now sporting a full-featured home license, which is perfect for my home setup. My thought now is that I might want to find a "beefier" device to support more of the features now that I can use them. Too bad there aren't more white-box appliances with 3+ NIC ports...

    One thing no one mentions, however: if you do a screen cap of "cat /etc/asg", or if you simply rename it, you have the ability to revert to a hardware license without reinstalling from ISO, too: put the file back, then reboot. Voila!
