Hi, running 8.201 in some form or other. Tomorrow might try the 8.201 ISO and see what happens.
I tried the rynair and the croatian airlines, while slow in loading, being a Friday night the internet to the world is slow, somewhere between 380ms and 1330ms to ryanair, they all worked. The times are from tracert on my PC.
I have a large range of functions enabled on this ASG. I have fine tuned the http proxy and QOS as suggested by Sascha Paris, Billybob and hardware.
I did not say that these URLs are blocked. Clients could access them but they couldn't do what they should do there. For example, some of my clients sell airplane tickets.
They opened the URL, clicked on what they had to and the error was made when it was about to finish. Another example are the banks' web pages. They could open the web pages but online banking couldn't be done because the process should be done after the last "click" but something went wrong and they couldn't do what they wanted to.
When they "click" on finish button, they have to wait and wait and wait and there's an error (eg. session expired) in the end.
Several people on different locations, on different ASGs (but all the ASGs are 8.201) had the same problems which did not exist on the previous versions of ASG.
On the other hand, there were some banks and airplane companies that worked as it did before. So some had no problems.
To sum up, there were no block screens and it all seemed to be working till the last moment, finishing. Then it did not do it fine. So people couldn't buy the airplane ticket or they couldn't do the online payment.
Now, when returned to 8.103, there ane no problems (with the same configuration).
If my setup was wrong, there would be problems on 8.103, too.
I don't know if there's a problem with the upgrade from 8.103. Clean installation might not have problems.
I don't know that either but I won't try to do that untill Astaro solves the problems we know for.
When it's about online banking, shopping (which my cilients do for a whole day), I'm not able to test what I want to.
Some problems are on each ASG.
Someone didn't have the problems I did, and I had some things working perfectly while someone had problems with them.
I'd like to say it this way: Noone has the same setup, noone uses the same services and abilities nor has the same options activated on the ASG.
I'm going on a bit longer vacation [:)] and I hope I'll find the 8.203 for installing when I come back.
I'd like you do everything successfully.
Best regards
On the timeout error, most them I overcame during the beta by adding an exception of some sort. I was not able to determine exactly what was wrong, the proxy appeared to stop responding to sites that had worked before. Possibly because the cache incorrectly reported that the page was already stored. The might a defect in the cache calculation software that is causing this.
A number of people complained about the time out error on different sites, but nothing was decided.
I used to get it on the mozilla site until a exempted mozilla from caching, now works fine.
