Asg 8.200

I upgraded to 8.200 today and discovered that the WAN interface Eth0 was down post upgrade. My license also had to be imported post upgrade. After extensive log review I was not able to discover the cause of the WAN Eth0 being down. I reinstalled 8.102 and the WAN Eth0 interface came back. Post upgrade to 8.103 no WAN issues either. My ASG runs on a Lenovo M8910 AMU, with 4 gb of ram, core 2 duo E7500 2.93ghz, and a Mtron 60gb SSD hard drive. The WAN interface is captive to the motherboard and is an Intel 82567LM-3 gigabit ethernet controller. Thankyou in advance for any help that can be provided. The problem is exlusively related to the 8.2 upgrade I received via Up2date.

    I had exactly the same issue - except my WAN is Eth1.

    It seemed to be related to it being configured as cable modem (DHCP) , as I tried making it a standard IP (non-DHCP) and could get it to come up - connected to another PC for test purposes. I also have an additional address on this interface so i can diagnose my DSL modem - that would not come up either.
    My motherboard is MSI - Core2 Duo - Integrated Ethernet.

    sometimes in the dashboard the interface would show as Error.

    I also tried to configure the Wan as a standard ethernet interface but had no success. DHCP is required for FIOS home configuration. There were no errors displayed, simply WAN interface down. Possibly there is a driver issue with 8.2.....

    I had this happen once during the 8.200 beta.  What worked for me was a combination of rebooting the Astaro, then power cycling the modem (unplug, wait 60 seconds, plug back in).  You might also want to try disabling, then enabling the interface.  Check the System Messages log for relevant information on DHCP client failures.

    I had the exact same issue with my WAN interface on eth0 when upgrade to 8.200 and couldn't get a WAN IP.  Trying every attempt including: enabling/disabling the interface, unplugging the cable, and contacting my ISP to have them reset.  After waiting for couple of hours before I was able to receive a WAN IP.  Then other issues starting to crop up like http proxy slowing the Internet access, and my laptop wireless connection keeps dropping.  Once I revert back to 8.102 / 8.103 everything was back to normal.
