Unable to update to 8.200

The first thing is that the 8.200 soft-release is not final code and has a significant number of major bugs.  Wait until 8.200 GA is released.

With that out of the way, if you enjoy performance issues and still want to install the 8.200 soft-release...Is this an Astaro appliance (model and revision #)?  How much RAM?  What is the current version of Astaro that you are running?

I have seen this with 2 scenarios.
A) ASGs witth low memory up to 1GB mem with large up2dates...temporary disabling memoryintensive features as webproxy and IPS during upload/installation may help
B) webadmin timeout too short. The default 300s may not be sufficient on slow uplinks or low memory appliances. Set the timeout higher...

Looks like A. The box is a repurposed old computer that had a bad memory slot, so it is chugging along with only 512MB of RAM. Looks like I'll need to pick up some extra memory.

Definitely.  The minimum for 8.X is 1GB, but 2GB+ would be optimal, especially for 8.2X.  As Sasha mentions, you can get the upload/install to work by turning off everything possible...IPS, Web proxy, IM/P2P, SMTP proxy, etc.  You need to free up enough memory.  After the install is finished, you can re-enable the services.
