100er license given by astaro doesn t work on a modified 220

Hallo,

I bought an ASG220 and replaced the hardware-version of the astaro with the software-version. 
A new generated license works.
My problem:
I m using a 100er license given by astaro after the last great beta-testing. This license isn t accepted by the device.
Is there a way to use the license on this device.

    It should work as long as you've installed the software version of Astaro onto the box.  

    The only thing that I can think of is based on the version of Astaro running on the box and the license version (old or new).  You can check the license revision on the MyAstaro portal.  If you are still using the old license type, then you'd be stuck running older versions of Astaro, because I believe that the ability to upgrade old licenses to the new type was disabled last month and newer versions of Astaro won't accept the old licenses.

    If this is what's happening, there probably isn't much need to worry.  Since you participated in the 8.200 beta, if they decide to give 100-IP licenses again, you'll get a new revision 2 license.

    It should work then.

    If you did the "hack" where you install the hardware ISO, then delete /etc/asg, you may have to reboot before it will accept a home license.

    Ralf, I wonder if you didn't see Scott's first observation about using the software version of Astaro instead of the Appliance/Hardware version?
