Multiport NIC

Hello everyone,
I wondered what PCI multiport-NIC would be recommended at the moment. It doesn't have to be gigabit as the added ports could easily be used to connect ADSL / SDSL lines.
I saw lots of multiport NICs on the HCL (mostly intel-based) but unfortunately I have absolutely zero experience with multiport-NIC PCI cards.
So, if you use a card that runs really well and comes at a decent price, pleas let me know.

    If you don't want to spend several hundred $, then your choices are limited to:

    1. find an Intel card on eBay
    I've used both PCI-X and PCIe quad NIC cards from Intel with Astaro v6, v7, and v8, and they work fine.
    If you're getting anything which is a new model, check the HCL or ask here before buying, as Astaro may not have the latest driver (although 8.2 (beta) should have newer drivers).

    2. look at LogicSupply; they have NS DP83816 2-port and 4-port cards for $85-120.
    HOWEVER, I'm not sure these work in Astaro 8. They were on previous version's HCLs.
    If you can figure out which Linux kernel module they use, you could see if that module exists in v8.
